One Columbia and University of South Carolina Call for Artists for Public Art

One Columbia for Arts and History, the University of South Carolina and the City of Columbia announce the planning phases of a new public art piece on the campus of the University of South Carolina. Through the partnership of these three organizations, One Columbia has issued a call for artists to submit proposals with total budget of $100,000 for a public art piece in Southwest Plaza at Foundation Square at the corner of Lincoln and Greene Streets. A proposal will be selected based on site compatibility, artist qualification and experience, design, feasibility, budget and maintainability. The artwork should capture the vibrant sense of place of the University and the City. The deadline for submission is April 3rd.
