North Charleston City Hall Exhibit – Deane Bowers & Glenn Lamp

North Charleston City Hall will host an exhibit by Deane Bowers & Glenn Lamp, on view July 1-August 30. Bowers, a self-taught artist based in Kiawah Island, SC, will present Recycle It, Charleston, featuring an eclectic, “folksy” collection of mixed media sculptures. Bowers strives to be an environmentally conscientious artist, creating works using found objects, paper collage, paint, and more, that have a positive impact on the environment and celebrate recycling as an art form. Glenn Lamp of York, SC, will display acrylics and oils in his exhibit Day 5. Inspired by the biblical quote, “And on the fifth day God created the ocean and all the living sea creatures,” the colorful works in the exhibit aim to express Lamp’s memories of the ocean and the stimulation of the senses that it brings. Lamp will host a free reception on Thursday, July 23, from 6-8pm. Exhibit viewing hours: 8am-8pm daily.
