North Charleston City Gallery Exhibit – Marlene O’Bryant Seabrook and Nora Phillips
The North Charleston City Gallery presents Parallel Thoughts/Single Minded: The Art Quilts of Marlene O’Bryant-Seabrook with Prose by EOB3. This retrospective exhibition showcases selected quilts by nationally and internationally exhibited fiber artist, Dr. Marlene O’Bryant-Seabrook, with prose by her son and published author, Evans O’Bryant, III. The framed prose is superimposed over a backdrop of the symbiotic quilt. Nora Phillips, of Raleigh, North Carolina, will present Threading Color, featuring mixed media pieces that blend paint, fiber elements, and thread. The public is invited to a free opening reception hosted by the artists on July 7th, from 5 -7 p.m. The exhibition runs through July 29th.
