Next Step Throwing: Building on the Basics (Mar.-Apr. 2026)

This 6-week class is designed specifically to meet the needs of the person who knows basic throwing techniques, but wants to advance their throwing skills.

Some of the skills that will be taught:

  • Knowledge of basic pottery terms
  • Forming a cylinder into a shape
  • Creative decorative designs on the clay surface
  • Creating and attaching handles
  • Throwing and fitting a lid
  • Shaping a spout for a pitcher
