New Gallery Exhibitions Coming To Lake City
Lake City’s permanent galleries are welcoming new free exhibitions.
Atlanta artist Shanequa Gay will be featured in Jones-Carter Gallery for her solo show “her spirit will be our guide on the way,” which will be on display until March 6th. Gay’s exhibition centers on and pays tribute to Breonna Taylor, Korryn Gaines and Sandra Bland.
TRAX Visual Art Center will feature “The Supper Table” created by South Carolina artists from The Jasper Project as an homage to the 40th anniversary of Judy Chicago’s 1979 epic feminist art exhibition. Kirkland Smith will share the space at TRAX to showcase her exhibition “Classic to Plastic: An Evolution,” featuring assemblage portraiture. Both shows in TRAX Visual Art Center will be on display until March 13th.
