Native and Now: An Evening with Dark Water Rising
Thought that Native American music was just drums and flutes? Think again. McKissick Museum at the University of South Carolina will present Native and Now: An Evening with Dark Water Rising on Friday, April 3rd at 7:30pm at the Booker T. Washington Auditorium. The group represents the best of contemporary Native American music, employing passionate vocals, electric guitars, and socially-conscious lyrics to tell their story. This performance is presented as part of McKissick’s exhibit, Traditions, Change, and Celebration: Native Artists of the Southeast and in partnership with the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs and Word of Mouth Productions. Admission is free, on a first come, first served basis.
