Music at the Library: John Tecklenberg- History of “Fud” Livingston

The Charleston Library Society presents John Tecklenburg, grand-nephew of Joseph Anthony “Fud” Tecklenberg, for a stories-and-music journey through the colorful life of “Uncle Fud.” A Charleston native, “Fud” Livingston (April 10, 1906 – March 25, 1957) was an American jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, arranger, and composer. He co-wrote the jazz and pop standard “I’m Thru with Love,” and played with several bands, including Paul Whiteman, the Dorseys, Benny Goodman, and Glenn Miller. The event will be held Thursday, August 20th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, hosted by The Charleston Library Society, 164 King Street in Charleston, SC.
