Named CMA Musician of the Year eight years straight, Mac McAnally is one of the most storied songwriters, producers, and artists in country music history. He has been a Muscle Shoals, AL session musician, a bandleader for Jimmy Buffet, and a producer of albums for artists like Opera House alum Sawyer Brown. A member of Nashville’s Songwriters Hall of Fame, McAnally is the songwriter behind so many of country music’s hits – from Alabama’s Old Flame to Kenny Chesney’s Where I Come From. McAnally performs at the Newberry Opera House October 5.
