Lowcountry Voices: MLK Jr. Tribute Concert

Lowcountry Voices, a multicultural and ethnically diverse choral performing arts organization, will pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at an annual musical celebration, January 18th at 5pm at St. Matthew Baptist Church in North Charleston. This year’s concert takes its theme from Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and Langston Hughes’ poem, “I Dream a World.” Under the direction of Nathan L. Nelson, Lowcountry Voices will offer a program of gospel songs, spirituals, and anthems to inspire the realization of those dreams. Free tickets for the concert can be picked at the North Charleston Cultural Arts Department office at North Charleston City Hall and at St. Matthew Baptist Church.
