Looking Past: Photographs by Will Fulmore, 1946-1997

The McClellanville Arts Council and friends of the late photographer Will Fulmore will present “Looking Past,” an exhibit of Fulmore’s photographs of the Carolina lowcountry in the 1970s.
William Wesley Fulmore was born in St. Stephen’s, South Carolina in 1946 and graduated from the College of Charleston. He received an M.A. in journalism from Wake Forest College and later studied photography with John McWilliams at Georgia State University. He lived in Charleston and in Atlanta before moving back to St. Stephen’s, where he died in 1997. The exhibition is on view March 5-April 16. This program is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted.
