Lippan Painting

Columbia Art Center offers a Mud and Mirrors Work (also known as Lippan Kaaam) workshop February 20 from 6 – 8 p.m. A traditional mural craft of Kutch, India, mud mirror work gained the attention of the modern world for its intricate pattern and aesthetic perfection and has moved to the mainstream art world, decorating the walls of urban homes. Registration fee of $40 covers instruction, all supplies and materials and operating costs. Class size limited to minimum of three and maximum of 12. Appropriate for ages 12 through adult.
