Keith Davis & Neal Starkey Jazz Duo
Carolina Music Museum in Greenville welcomes the jazz duo of Keith Davis & Neal Starkey, January 30 at 7:30 pm. Local musician Keith Davis has distinguished himself as a jazz pianist, composer & educator. He has toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Artie Shaw Orchestra & Matt “Guitar” Murphy (Blues Brothers). Keith was inducted into the Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame. Local performing partners include his Trio & the Greenville Jazz Collective. In addition to performing Keith has recorded two CDs of original music. Neal Starkey, bassist from NY, currently in Atlanta, has performed with many notable names such as Sonny Stitt, Duke Pearson, Barney Kessel & many more. Starkey has recorded with Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams & Freddie Hubbard with the CBS Jazz All Stars and often works with notable Southeastern Jazz musicians.
