The Horry County Museum presents a program on the movies that were made or premiered in Myrtle Beach, Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. Hollywood stars brought big-screen magic to the Grand Strand for nearly 50 years. Their works ranged from major studio productions to award-winning independent films. The drama behind those movies and the lives of their filmmakers often rivaled that of the movies themselves. Myrtle Beach History Tours Creator and Narrator, and the author of the book, Myrtle Beach Movies, Kathryn Cox Hedgepath, will share some behind-the-scenes stories about those motion pictures that were in theaters from 1967 to 2015.
