Josh Goforth

Josh Goforth must have been born musical. At four, he was singing and playing piano in church, but it was an experience he had in the sixth grade that really lit the fuse of his precocious career as a highly accomplished, acoustic musician and storyteller.
A performance at his middle school by David Holt and Sheila Kay Adams caused him to start thinking about his musical heritage. A couple of years later, Goforth began learning guitar from his great-uncle. Over the next few years, he learned to play 10 different musical instruments by ear. Today, Josh plays 20 instruments and is a champion master fiddler.
Blending bluegrass, swing, and old-time mountain music with stories of his ancestors, Josh brings to life the spirit and joy of growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains!
