International Ballet presents Coppélia

International Ballet presents Coppélia at the Peace Center for the Performing Arts in Greenville April 14-15. Set to the music of Léo Delibes, Coppélia follows an eccentric toymaker, Dr. Coppelius, who is determined to bring his most recent life-sized doll, Coppélia, to life. Meanwhile, a village girl, Swanhilda, and her fiancé Franz become curious about the mysterious girl in Dr. Coppelius’ shop, not realizing she’s only a doll. When both try to sneak into the shop and are discovered, a chaotic chain reaction, comic impersonations, and a dramatic – but happy – conclusion follows. A classic treasure of the ballet world, Coppélia is a delightful story for young and old. Tickets $35.
