Intermediate Hand Building Pottery
City of Columbia Parks and Recreation offers a class in Intermediate Hand Building Pottery, providing students the opportunity to advance their hand building skills. Prior to taking this class students will need to have completed a basic pottery course. This is a 6-week class which meets on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The focus of this class is on more advanced hand building techniques such as working with different clays, glazing, and using advanced decorative techniques. Students are required to have a pottery tool kit; all other materials are provided. Class size limited to 3 minimum and 10 maximum. All classes are held at the Art Center, 1928 Calhoun St, Columbia, SC. Sessions available July 9th through December 17th.
