Wheel Sessions 62 features legendary Latin/jazz drummer Ignacio Berroa to Greenville March 14. Ignacio Berroa has been recognized by many as one of the greatest drummers of our time. Jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie defined Ignacio as “… the only Latin drummer in the world in the history of American music that intimately knows both worlds: his native Afro-Cuban music as well as jazz.” Performing with Berroa will be three of the Carolinas’ foremost jazz musicians, Lovell Bradford – piano, Jorge Garcia – guitar, and Mike Holstein – bass.
