Horry – Georgetown High Schools 15th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

Franklin G Burroughs – Simeon B Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach presents the Horry – Georgetown High Schools 15th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, on view April 19th through May 22nd. Diverse arrays of media as well as artistic styles will fill the second floor galleries with color, life and originality, as area high school art students gain experience in the actual process of having their artwork exhibited in a professional setting. This year, Coastal Carolina University Gallery Director and professional artist Jim Arendt has been invited to judge the art. Arendt will judge 2D and 3D works, each category receiving a first, second, and third place ribbon as well as a Best in Show and eight honorable mentions. At the conclusion of the exhibition, a Peoples Choice Award will be presented to visitors’ favorite piece of art. The Art Museum is open 10 am- 4 pm Tues. – Sat. and 1 pm – 4 pm Sunday. Admission is free, with donations welcome.
