Herring Chamber Ensemble 25th Anniversary Concert

The Herring Chamber Ensemble celebrates its 25th Anniversary with their winter concert, “Love songs and other things.” Sunday, February 26, 3 p.m., Daniel Chapel at Furman University. The Herring Ensemble, conducted by Bingham Vick, Jr., will perform the delightful “Liebeslieder Walzer” (love song waltzes) by Johannes Brahms, “Now sleeps the crimson petal” (four rose, love song settings from 19th century poets) by Welsh composer Paul Mealor, “My heart be brave” (text by James Weldon Johnson) music by Clemson University composer Anthony Bernarducci, and a group of wonderful jazz settings, all about love.
