Grounded, Presented by Boots on the Ground Theater
After her career in the sky is put to an end, an ace fighter pilot is reassigned to operating drones from a windowless trailer in Nevada. Her 12-hour shifts hunting terrorists in the Middle East are followed by 12 hours at home, attempting to find stability within suburbia. As the pressure to track a high-profile target intensifies, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert she lives in and the one she patrols half a world away. Boots on the Ground Theater brings its thrilling one-woman show to PURE Theatre, as part of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Performances are June 4 through the 6th at 8.P.M. and feature a post-show discussion. For tickets, visit pure theatre.org. This production contains strong language and mature themes.
