Greenville Chorale at the Peace Center
The Greenville Chorale opens its 61st season with “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, October 29 at 8 p.m. at the Peace Center. This exciting music with the memorable opening musical measures, often heard at football games, will feature soloists Kathryn Knauer, soprano, Bruce Schoonmaker, baritone, and Grant Knox, tenor. The Chorale will be joined by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. Bing Vick, longtime OLLI member, will be conducting. Also on the program is the beautiful setting of Shakespeare’s text from “The Merchant of Venice” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Serenade to Music.” This season marks Maestro Vick’s 42nd year as artistic director and conductor of the Chorale.
