Grant Writing for Artists and Non-Profit Organizations

The Emrys Foundation is offering a grant writing workshop for artists and non-profit organizations, led by professional grant writer, author, and artist Dr. Carl Heltzel. The goal is to help participants learn how to write (or “grantsmith”) high-quality winning proposals, build relationships, think like foundations/funders, fund your projects, and manage post-award reporting. The session will cover organizational development & personal goals pertaining to grant seeking; strategies for effective program and project design and development; how to craft, construct, and submit an effective grant application; practices and services that raise the level of professionalism of grant developers; and how to write a convincing case for funding. The workshop will be held March 14th from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Hughes Main Library in Greenville.
