Gospel and Gullah in Georgetown: Documentary Film Screenings

Gospel and Gullah in Georgetown is a multiple media praise music and cultural arts festival which spotlights talent at performance and other arts venues. April 17 and 18 feature screenings of “Say Amen, Somebody” by George T. Nierenberg and “20 Years of Oslo Gospel Choir,” critically-acclaimed documentary films about gospel music from around the world, at Georgetown County Public Library- Main Branch. With a strong focus on gospel music and regional Gullah Geechee culture, the event will also feature three live concerts, public art classes with master painters, and an open-air street fair with the Top Gullah Chef Cook-off, Gullah Artisans Court and children’s pavilion. Presented by The Mitney Project, Cultural Council of Georgetown County, Georgetown County Tourism Office, and Georgetown Business Association.
