Furman University Presents Prints by Taryn McMahon
Prints by Kent State University School of Art professor Taryn McMahon will be on display January 15 – February 15 in Thompson Gallery on the Furman University campus in Greenville. Vanishing Points is an installation of eight large-scale printed banners created specifically for Thompson Gallery. Twelve additional works on paper will also be on view. The exhibition investigates our relationship to the natural world through McMahon’s use of images from botanical gardens. She blends digital and hand-drawn print processes to explore how our interactions with the natural world are mediated through technology. McMahon will present a talk during a reception February 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. Regular Thompson Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
