French Documentary: Because I Was a Painter
Christophe Cognet’s Because I Was a Painter is an absorbing documentary about artworks created by those imprisoned in concentration camps during World War II. This is the second film of the CinéCola / Tournées Festival, the Midlands annual series featuring recent French and Francophone film. Sunday, October 25 at 5 PM in Columbia College’s Cottingham Theatre. Preceded by Jean-Claude Rozec’s animated short, House of Dust.
