FOLKFabulous@theFair 2018: Day Four
FOLKFabulous@theFair returns to the SC State Fair in October. This year’s festival celebrates our state’s vibrant pottery traditions. Daily activities include the exhibit, Pottery in South Carolina, a Pottery Boneyard by the Newberry Arts Center and SC Clay Conference, and an oral history project, Share Your Fair Story. For Day Four on October 13, (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Rosa and Winton Eugene of Cowpens will demonstrate and talk about their work. The Eugenes highlight techniques that explore scenes of the rural south and their experience as African Americans, as well as concerned citizens of the world. There will be a display of their work, pieces for sale, & a hands-on pottery activity. Check McKissick Museum’s Facebook page for more details. All activities are free with Fair admission.
