FOLKFabulous@theFair 2018: Day Five
FOLKFabulous@theFair returns to the SC State Fair in October. This year’s festival celebrates our state’s vibrant pottery traditions. Daily activities include the exhibit, Pottery in South Carolina, a Pottery Boneyard by the Newberry Arts Center and SC Clay Conference, and an oral history project, Share Your Fair Story. For Day Five on October 14, (noon – 6 p.m.), Southern Pottery offers fairgoers a chance to make a face jug of their very own. At 3 p.m, head over to the WLTX Stage for Kristin Scott Benson & Friends in concert. At 4:30 p.m, back in the Rosewoods building, Benson and her apprentice Samantha Morgan will lead a Bluegrass Banjo Workshop. They’ll share stories, field questions, and pick a few tunes. Check McKissick Museum’s Facebook page for more details. All activities are free with Fair admission.
