FOLKFabulous@theFair 2018: Day Eight
FOLKFabulous@theFair returns to the SC State Fair in October. This year’s festival celebrates our state’s vibrant pottery traditions. Daily activities include the exhibit, Pottery in South Carolina, a Pottery Boneyard by the Newberry Arts Center and SC Clay Conference, and an oral history project, Share Your Fair Story. For Day Eight on October 17, the Blackville Community Choir, a Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Award Winner, will perform and lead fair goers in a capella spiritual and gospel singing from noon to 2 p.m. Come lend your voice to classic gospel songs, as the Choir hosts a community sing. Check McKissick Museum’s Facebook page for more details. All activities are free with Fair admission.
