Family Night XVIII : The Healing Force
Clover School District Auditorium celebrates its 18th annual Family Night January 24th with a performance by The Healing Force. Founded in 1975 by Joseph and Gail Anderson, this family of singers, storytellers, and musicians share African culture through drumming, songs, stories, and exhibits from the Anderson’s personal collection of over 150 different items from various African countries. Traditional African instruments such as shekeres, talking drums, rain sticks, rattles and agogo bells are featured in a culminating jam session where audience members join the family on stage. The performance begins at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $5. Family pass is $10.
