Fahamu Pecou: In Conversation and a Catalogue-signing
The Halsey Institute’s Fall 2016 artist Fahamu Pecou will be in conversation with Dr. Anthony Greene June 9 at 4 p.m. Pecou’s work explores the state of Black existence – life and death – today. Dr. Greene is an Associate Professor with the African American Studies program and the Department of Sociology at the College of Charleston. He specializes in race-ethnic relations and cultural and ethnic identity. Pecou will also be signing copies of Visible Man, the catalogue published by the Halsey Institute for his exhibition DO or DIE: Affect, Ritual, Resistance, organized by in collaboration with the Michael C. Carlos of Emory University at a reception at the Halsey Institute’s galleries. Free.
