Education Exhibit: Gullah Geechee Islands, The Land and Us

Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet presents Gullah Geechee Islands, The Land and Us, an education exhibit featuring work by Bluffton artist Amiri Farris, on view from 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., January 12th through March 27th, at Learning Lab One of the Wall Lowcountry Center. Farris is known for his dynamic, colorful, and powerful artwork. Combining an alluring blend of vivid colors and layered textures, the art brings to mind images of Sea Island Gullah culture and provides insight into his contemporary view of that culture.
