DUKE: King of Jazz

Take the “A Train” back to the 1930s with the original dance musical, DUKE: King of Jazz, presented September 25-November 14 by Charleston Performing Arts Center. You’ll be transported to a time when Jazz was the all rage, back to the days when The Cotton Club was the hot spot to be spotted in, where the Duke Ellington Orchestra played sultry, sensational, and foot stomping sounds of jazz; and where dynamic floorshow entertainment featuring the Cotton Club Dancers reigned supreme. The Charleston Cabaret Theatre’s signature Table Tootsies will seat you and provide tableside beverage service. Beer, wine, sodas, and savory and sweet treats are available to purchase. This show is suitable for children ages 13 and up. Shows are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 8 PM.
