Documentary Film: D-Day Remembered

The 2025 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with D-Day Remembered. This locally produced documentary profiles the events of “Operation Overlord,” the Allied invasion of German-occupied France, which began on “D-Day,” June 6, 1944. The joint military operation involved more than 150,000 Allied troops; almost 5,000 ships and landing craft; 13,000 aircraft; 3,500 airborne gliders; and more than two million tons of equipment.
The free screening begins at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
The Horry County Museum Documentary Film Matinees will continue throughout 2025.
