Dis/placements Conversation | Riccarda de Eccher + Bryan Granger
Visual artist Riccarda de Eccher’s love of mountains, particularly the northern Italian Alps of her homeland, has made them the subject of her work. De Eccher was paired with writer Bryan Granger for Dis/placements: Revisitations of Home, a virtual exhibition presented by The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston. The project features 10 artists whose works deal with issues of displacement from their ancestral homeland. Each artist was asked to submit works that speak most directly to the idea of “home.” Artists were paired with writers who have offered their own reflections on the work and its relationship to the concepts of home and displacement. You’re invited to a Dis/placements Conversation with Riccarda de Eccher and Bryan Granger on Facebook Live, September 24th at 11 a.m.
