Dirty Dozen Brass Band

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band performs at the Sumter Opera House March 13 at 7:30 pm. Formed in 1977, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band revolutionized the New Orleans brass band by incorporating funk and bebop into the traditional style. Anchored by original members Roger Lewis, Kevin Harris, Gregory Davis, Efrem Towns and Kirk Joseph, the band is a world famous music machine, whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances. Ticket prices are $25 for orchestra seats or balcony boxes and $23 for balcony seats. The Opera House is located at 21 North Main Street in Sumter.
