Since its founding in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell, the first African-American dancer in the New York City Ballet, The Dance Theatre of Harlem has become an American treasure, inspiring audiences all over the world. The University of South Carolina Department of Theatre and Dance and the College of Arts and Sciences host this world-renowned company for a one-night-only performance, featuring popular favorites from the Dance Theatre of Harlem repertoire and a brand new work by dance legend Dianne McIntyre. February 2nd at the Koger Center in Columbia.
