Join Cultivate SciArt for our Science + Art Happy Hour event, “Balance Through The A.G.E.s: How Lifestyle Impacts Health” & “Abstract Art” on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Maybank Public House in Charleston, S.C. Dr. David Turner, Vice Chair of Research at Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center, presents on how Glycation End Products (AGEs) affect us and what habits we may want to change. Then, learn from our teaching artist Marielena Martinez, MFA, about the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Through the combination of lines and blocks of color, Mondrian sought to create a “universal beauty” and his iconic patterns now infuse across architecture and fashion. Create your own intriguing pieces of art and share how this information makes us feel!
