Creative Wheel Throwing Pottery Classes – March/April
Columbia Art Center offers Creative Wheel Throwing pottery classes, with instruction by Tuula Widdifield, in multiple sessions throughout the year: March 10th through April 14th, May 5th through June 9th, July 7th through August 11th, September 8th through October 13th, and November 3rd through December 8th. Each session meets Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm for six weeks. This class is designed for those that would like to expand their existing knowledge of basic throwing. Students will learn to prepare clay for throwing; pull walls and create a basic cylinder; and expand their knowledge of throwing in a flexible environment. The pre-requisite for this class is that students must be able to center and open clay. The registration fee includes instruction, materials, and operational costs. Students must have their own pottery tools. Each session requires a minimum enrollment of three and a maximum of six. The registration deadline is two weeks before the first class.
