Columbia Art Center offers Creating a Motanka Doll October 19 with instruction by Yevheniia Bazaliy. Motanka dolls are symbols of authenticity and feminine wisdom in the Ukraine. The use of a needle is forbidden when making the Motanka — only fabric folding and thread reeling are allowed for this Ukrainian national art form.  Skill level beginner. Class limited to minimum of 3 and maximum of 12. Class fee of $50 includes instruction, all supplies and materials and operating costs.
