Cost of Living
Trustus Theatre presents Cost of Living February 22 – March 2. The winner of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Cost of Living focuses on two characters with disability and their caretakers. Eddie, an unemployed truck driver, reunites with his ex-wife Ani after she suffers a devastating accident. John, a brilliant and witty doctoral student, hires overworked Jess as a caregiver. As their lives intersect, Majok’s play delves into the chasm between abundance and need and explores the space where bodies—with or without disability—meet each other. Trustus is proud to exhibit responsible casting as two actors with disability will make their Trustus debut in the roles of Ani and John. Directed by S.C. Arts Commission Acting Fellow Paul Kaufmann. This show is presented in partnership with ABLE SC.
