Correspondence Art: School Swap Opening Reception

The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art presents an exhibition of student artwork on view in the Main Lobby of the Charleston County Public Library. The Institute partnered with seven area K-12 schools for an education and outreach program designed around the Halsey Institute’s January 2016 exhibition Correspondence Art: Words, Objects and Images by Ray Johnson, Richard C, and Bob Ray. The culmination of this project is Correspondence Art: School Swap, an exhibition of the student-created mail art at the library. A reception will be held at the library May 8th from 2:30-4pm.
