Contemporary Conversations II: Selections from the State Art Collection

Contemporary Conversations II makes up one half of a two-part exhibit of works by 95 contemporary South Carolina artists from the State Art Collection, including everything from hard-edge geometric abstraction to surrealist tinged dreamscapes. The Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach, SC will exhibit 37 works from Contemporary Conversations II and one additional piece from Contemporary Conversations I, September 20th – December 27th. The State Art Collection is a program of the South Carolina Arts Commission and is supported in part by the SC Arts Foundation and First Citizens. The Art Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Sunday 1-4 pm, and closed on Monday. Admission is free, donations are appreciated.
