Competitive Portrait Drawing

The Arts Council of York County hosts a Competitive Portrait Drawing Competition, November 22 at the Center for the Arts in Rock Hill. It’s a Knockout Battle, Tournament Style Art Competition that begins with 16 artists randomly paired off to draw their best portrait of a model with just five minutes on the clock. At the sound of the buzzer, the model in each pairing serves as judge, choosing their favorite portrait. The winning artists then advance to the to the next round until only two artists remain. The final two artists draw head-to-head, and the winner is crowned champion and awarded the grand prize.
