Columbia Choral Society’s Fall Concert

The Columbia Choral Society is celebrating its 85th Anniversary Season during 2015-2016. November 22nd at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Columbia, the Choral Society and Chamber Orchestra perform an afternoon of music composed during the Classical Period (1750-1820) by the three masters of the era. The program includes Misericordias Domini, K. 222 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Elegischer Gesang, Op. 118 by Ludwig van Beethoven; and Missa in angustiis (Lord Nelson Mass), Hob. XXIi:11 by Franz Josef Haydn. Dr. Lillian Quackenbush, this season’s guest conductor, will conduct the 70 member chorus with orchestra and soloists.
