Columbia Baroque: Musical Splendor from the Grand Courts of Europe, “The Kingdom of Spain”
Columbia Baroque’s season-opening concert features Salomé Sandoval performing as a vocalist and on lute and guitar in a program of fiery Spanish and Latin-American dance music with an Italian liaison. The concert takes place September 16th at USC School of Music’s Recital Hall. Sandoval joins Columbia Baroque members Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord. “Concert Conversations” by Peter A. Hoyt begins at 7 p.m. The performance follows at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15 in advance; $20 at the door.
