Columbia Baroque Concert: “The Musical World of Georgia O’Keeffe”

Join Columbia Baroque for a wonderful evening of music featuring favorites of Georgia O’Keeffe, who loved listening to music for relaxation and artistic inspiration. She had a large collection of recordings in her Abiquiu home, including Baroque music of Monteverdi, Purcell, Handel, and Bach, with a special fondness for Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
Performers for the evening are Richard Stone, theorbo; Brittnee Siemon, mezzo-soprano; Jean Hein, baroque recorder; Mary Hostetler Hoyt and Erika Cutler, baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroed-er, viola da gamba; and William Douglas, organ and harpsichord. Concert Conversations begin at 7 p.m. with Peter Hoyt, followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 online and at the door; all students free with ID.
