Columbia Baroque Concert Series Liaisons: The Imperial Palace of Vienna

Columbia Baroque will celebrate the 450th anniversary of the birth of the great Italian composer, Claudio Monteverdi by performing his gorgeous madrigals, plus music of Corelli, Pachelbel, Froberger and more, all with historically inspired performance practice on instruments of the period. Guest artist Serena Hill-LaRoche, soprano, joins Columbia Baroque members Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord. The concert takes place May 12 in the USC School of Music Recital Hall, beginning with Concert Conversations presented by Peter A. Hoyt at 7 p.m and the performance following at 7:30 p.m.
