Columbia Baroque Concert: “Celebration of Family and Friends”
Columbia Baroque celebrates J. S. Bach’s 333rd birthday year January 19 at the USC School of Music Recital Hall. In addition to his music, the concert includes compositions by his sons, C.P.E. Bach and J.C. Bach, and his friends Handel, Telemann, Mattheson and others. Performers are Columbia Baroque members Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Mary Hostetler Hoyt, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry , harpsichord. Concert Conversations by Peter A Hoyt begins at 7 p.m. followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m. Stay for birthday cake honoring the Friends of Columbia Baroque. $15 tickets in advance; $20 tickets at the door; Students free with ID.
