CofC International Piano Series: Daria Rabotkina
The College of Charleston is delighted to present the 34th season of the International Piano Series! IPS is the longest-running, season-long program with a pure focus on piano; it features a wide array of performers, from young professionals to seasoned artists. One of the artists the College is proud to feature this season is Daria Rabotkina. Winner of the 2007 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, Rabotkina received top prizes at several international competitions and participated in Russia’s White Nights, Finland’s Kuhmo and Copenhagen’s Summer festivals. Join us as she takes us on a journey with Schumann’s Ghost Variations, selections from Beethoven’s Bagatelles, Op. 33, Medtner’s Sonata-Reminiscenza, and Aurandt’s Sonata in b-flat minor.
