Chautauqua History Comes Alive: Daniel Morgan, Battle of Cowpens

On the anniversary of the Battle of Cowpens, Brigadier General Daniel Morgan returns to the scene of his victory, presented by Greenville Chautauqua January 16th at 7:00pm at the Headquarters Library in Spartanburg. Hear the inside story on southern history, retold as this battlefield tactician of the American Revolutionary War, about whom General Nathaniel Greene said, “Great generals are scarce — there are few Morgans out there.” Spartanburg even placed a statue of him downtown and called that place Morgan Square. History comes alive at this Free Chautauqua performance… And as always: the audience is part of the show.
